Hi! My name is Ruth and this is my personal homepage.
What can I say about me... well I am married to Ian and have four children (or young people). That’s a start! I was born and grew up in Acton in West London, and completed my schooling in the local comprehensive and received 5 CSE’s. I then went on to study at a college in Colindale (North London). After two years there I completed a Nursery Nursing course and got a NNEB qualification. I then worked in a council Day Nursery in Chiswick (Richard Briers lived behind the nursery). I worked there for 2-3 years and then I went to work in my old primary school setting up a Nursery Unit.
During this time Ian and I moved into our first home, which was a ground floor flat. Before this we had shared my parents home for a year and then rented a flat. I left my job when I became pregnant with Ben, and after he was born I stayed at home to look after him. Eighteen months after Ben was born he was joined by a new sister Naomi.

When Ben was 2 and a half and Naomi 10mths we moved to Cardiff South Wales. We were there for four years during which time Jonathan was born. We had a one bed flat with five of us sharing one room. Ben was at school by this time, and his class was asked one day to draw their bedrooms; This he did very well but his teacher called us in thinking it wasn’t right, to which we assured her that it was and he had done a good picture!
From Cardiff we moved to Risca, where we lived for 7 years, and during which time Sarah was born. We left Risca and moved to Romsey in Hampshire where we lived up until a year ago, when we moved to North Baddesley (about 10mins from Romsey).
I am currently working as a Learning Support Assistant in a local secondary school. I enjoy sewing and have sold some of the things I have made at several craft fairs over the years. I also enjoy traveling, and look forward to exploring new places.
I am just setting up my first website, Your Body and Mind Superstore, which I hope to have up and running in the very near future. Watch this space!
That’s all at the moment, I'll add more as things change!
